Anthony Gomes
With a guitar slung over his shoulder and the amps turned up full tilt, Anthony Gomes electrifies blues and rock at a 21st century crossroads of his own. The Canadian vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and producer wails with all the force of a hurricane in the Mississippi Delta and enough fret-burning fireworks to leave his strings in flames. Over the years, he’s toppled the Billboard Blues Chart at #1, earned the endorsement of legends such as B.B. King, tallied tens of millions of streams, and packed shows on multiple continents. In 2026, Gomes is back supporting his #1 blues rock album, Praise the Loud, with a world tour that includes stops in 17 countries. “I’ve learned how to embrace my voice as a guitarist and as a singer,” he states. “I understand who I am, and I use my strengths to my advantage. I have a blues soul and a rock ‘n’ roll heart. I love to jump back and forth between both with a modern day approach. When I play rock, it’s got a little more dust on it.” Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he fell in love with music as a kid, listening to everyone from Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix to Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. At 14 years old, Anthony gravitated to the guitar and his relationship with the instrument was born. After grinding it out, his chops caught the attention of B.B. King’s bus driver at a jam night. Blown away, the driver introduced him to B.B. who invited him to open up a string of tour dates in 2005. Gaining invaluable knowledge from “The King,” he went on to share the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and more. Along the way, his concert attendees have included Academy® Award winner Morgan Freeman, John Goodman, and Vince Vaughn as well as Eric Clapton, to name a few. Meanwhile, Total Guitar listed Gomes as ‘One of the 100 Greatest Blues Guitarists of All Time’ in 2024. Guitar World readers voted him one of “The 30 Best Blues Guitarists in the World Today” in 2019, and the publication noted, “Gomes is another power player who is at his best when his gear is in the scorched earth between blues and rock.” Anthony’s latest release, Praise the Loud, delivers 12 fresh studio tracks that showcase Anthony’s musical evolution while staying true to the no-holds-barred sound that has earned him a global fanbase. “I still believe in a world of guitar heroes,” he smiles. “I strive for a world where you don’t have to be 19 years old to sell a lot of records and tickets and to make a statement. I’m one of those people who doesn’t think rock, or the blues is dead. I’m looking for fresh ways to bring them together. I’m at the table rolling the dice all in the name of blues and rock ‘n’ roll. I know there’s never been a more exciting time for music, and I’m here for the journey.”

Computer Kill is a Baltimore-based project blending post-punk urgency with brooding electronic soundscapes. Formed in 2022 and spearheaded by songwriter and producer Noah Schippers, he quickly carved out a space in underground scenes both in real life and on the internet. Known for intense, cathartic live shows for having a distinct sonic mood, Computer Kill continues to push the boundaries of darkwave and synth-driven pop.

Saintseneca’s Zac Little has been thinking a lot about memory. Not necessarily his memories, though they creep in often, too. Rather, he mulls over the idea of memory itself: its resilience, its haziness, how it slips away as we try to hang on, the way it resurfaces despite our best efforts to forget. Memory is the common thread running throughout the Columbus folk-punk band’s fourth album, Pillar of Na, arriving in late summer via ANTI- Records. Following 2015’s critically lauded Such Things, the new album’s name is rooted in remembrance, referencing the Genesis story of Lot’s wife who looks back at a burning Sodom after God instructs her not to. She looks back, and God turns her into a pillar of salt. “Na,” meanwhile, is the chemical symbol for sodium. “Nah” is a passive refusal and the universal song word. It means nothing and stands for nothing. It is “as it is.” Like Lot’s wife, Little cannot help but revisit where—and how—he grew up. Raised in church in southeastern Appalachian Ohio, he took up preaching when he was still a teenager, sometimes in small country settings and other times to congregations of thousands. But these days he’s more interested in listening. And questioning. Musically, Pillar of Na is Saintseneca’s most ambitious album to date, with Little aiming to incorporate genre elements he’d rarely heard in folk. “I wanted to use the idiom of folk-rock, or whatever you want to call it, and to try to do something that had never been done before,” Little explains. “To reach way back, echoing ancient folk melodies, tie that into punk rock, and then push it into the future. I told Mike Mogis I wanted Violent Femmes meets the new Blade Runner soundtrack. I’m looking for the intersection between Kendrick Lamar and The Fairport Convention.” “You’re always going to be situated in the folk legacy,” Little continues, acknowledging his past recordings, which include three albums (the aforementioned Such Things, 2014’s Dark Arc, 2011’s Last) and three EPs (2016’s The Mallwalker, 2010’s Grey Flag, and 2009’s self-titled). “But let’s move forward. I’m not trying to make the lost Velvet Underground B-side. I want to find something that has never been heard before, or at least go down trying.”

PeelingFlesh is a slamming gangster groove metal band from Oklahoma. Missing Link is a ferocious hardcore/metallic hardcore band from New York, formed during the COVID-19 lockdowns by seasoned members of the Northeastern underground scene. Known for their crushing riffs, relentless breakdowns, and raw, pit-ready energy, they broke through with early EPs like My Time on the Cross (2020) and No Saving Grace (2022) before signing to Triple B Records and releasing their debut full-length album, Watch Me Bleed (2024). Blending classic NYHC intensity with metallic edge and lived-in lyrics drawn from personal experience and scene observation, Missing Link’s sound and live presence have quickly made them a standout force in modern hardcore. Bayway is a hard-hitting hardcore band from Elizabeth, New Jersey, formed in late 2022. Known for their raw, unapologetic sound, they channel the gritty spirit of New Jersey Hardcore with influences from 90s legends like E-Town Concrete, Fury of Five, and NJ Bloodline. Fronted by vocalist Jayway, alongside Chris Halpin (guitar), Tito Valentin (guitar), Dave Mericle (drums), and Diego Galarraga on bass, Bayway blends pummeling riffs, hip-hop vocals, and streetwise lyrics that reflect the struggles and resilience of their roots. Since their debut demo World of Bayway with RTF Records, they’ve unleashed a relentless stream of releases, including The Newport Sessions and Bayway Takes Manhattan, both on DAZE and RTF Records, cementing their reputation as a rising force in the hardcore scene with a no-frills attitude and explosive live energy. Now the first band signed to Trustkill Records since 2008, the band has a new album set to drop summer of 2025 that promises to be a banger because Bayway has The Recipe.
